Welcome to 544 Carroll, an inviting boutique residence on the border of Park Slope and Gowanus. This collection of 133 thoughtfully designed, family-sized homes blend the charm of townhouse living with the ease and convenience of a full-service building.

Room to Roam
The building is a study in classic design with a modern sensibility. Its lived-in, nostalgic charm, is brought to life through a warm, layered palette of natural materials – custom walnut millwork, textured slate, polished stone, and refined marble – all contributing to an atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. But the building’s most defining feature is its seamless integration of natural light and greenery. 544 Carroll was designed for seamless indoor-outdoor living, with greenery woven throughout the building. From the moment you enter the lobby, you’re welcomed by a sun-filled glass wall overlooking a lushly planted courtyard—an energizing view shared by the adjacent resident study, perfect for working from home. This connection to nature continues in the fitness and pilates studio, which opens onto both private and public gardens, and residents can unwind on the sunset terrace or dine al fresco on the rooftop, all while taking in sweeping views of Park Slope and the Manhattan skyline.

Organic, layered interiors pull inspiration from the abundant nature surrounding the neighborhood—from Gil Hodges Community Garden next door to Prospect Park just five blocks away—promoting a lifestyle focused on serenity and wellness.
Corner of Carroll
Inspired by Gowanus’s traditional warehouse exteriors, 544 Carroll stands stoically at the corner of Carroll Street and 4th Avenue. Oversized windows and steel framing punctuate the geometric facade, and thoughtful volumes create a collection of private and community terraces for residents to enjoy. With 17 stories, the structure’s setbacks reference New York City’s iconic skyscrapers, while the overall compact form draws inspiration from the historic brownstones of adjacent Park Slope. This sophisticated architecture offers a subtle nod to the lifestyle experienced within, mixing the space and privacy of a single-family home with the convenience and low maintenance of a fully amenitized building.

In harmony with the exterior, the interiors were equally considered to the highest standards. Designed by Cl-oth Interiors, a local firm, in partnership with Avery Hall, the spaces are defined by organic elements, such as hewn stone, wood, and fresh greenery, to create a connection between the neighborhood’s industrial past, the Gowanus Canal, and the nature found throughout Park Slope. Soft, natural light permeates every corner of the interiors. Custom furnishings take inspiration from some of the design world’s most celebrated movements, including midcentury and Scandinavian modern styles. Comfort is at the center of the design concept, and thoughtful additions such as a gas fireplace in The Great Room, 544 Carroll’s penthouse-level lounge, ensure that even community spaces feel like an extension of each resident’s home.

Space to grow
544 Carroll was brought to life by Avery Hall, a prominent real estate developer deeply embedded in the fabric of Brooklyn’s identity. With vast experience developing both luxury condominiums and premium rental buildings, the firm focuses on high-quality, hospitality-inspired, and community-driven design. At 544 Carroll, this is evidenced in a number of considered details, from simple acts like a water bottle and towel station outside of the gym to the lively programming planned each month, including story time; music, yoga, gardening, and meditation classes; rooftop movie nights; hibachi evenings; and more.
